The Super Mario Bros. Movie is ready to hit the theaters on April 7, and the final trailer just dropped during Nintendo Connect. This trailer is packed with references, easter eggs, and surprises that will make any Mario fan go wild. So let’s dive right in and see what we can find!🍄
First of all, we get a glimpse of Bowser’s Castle, which looks like a massive fortress surrounded by lava and spikes. It also has a giant statue of Bowser’s head on top, which has a lot of Super Mario 64 vibes.
We jump into the dungeons where we see a bunch of hanging cages as we see a cage drop with Luigi in it. The prisoners range from the cute penguins we saw in the original trailer, goombas, some koopa troopas, and some cute little stars from Mario Galaxy wanting to see some blood saying
We also see Bowser himself, voiced by Jack Black, who sounds hilarious and menacing at the same time. He seems to be leading an army of Koopas, Goombas, Bullet Bills, Bob-ombs, piranha plants
We see Chris Pratt as Mario, who sounds surprisingly natural as the iconic plumber. He is joined by Charlie Day as Luigi, who doesn’t have much dialogue but makes up for it with his excellent screams.
We also have Anya Taylor-Joy as Princess Peach, who looks elegant and badass at the same time. She even gets to ride Yoshi (voiced by Seth Rogen), who looks adorable and is hopefully a regular character in the story.
