Unleash the Samurai Outriders in MARVEL Tōkon: Fighting Souls

Hello everyone! I’m Takeshi Yamanaka, producer of MARVEL Tōkon: Fighting Souls. Did you catch the thrilling final team trailer revealed recently at EVO 2026? Introducing the “Samurai Outriders”—a unique assembly of dark heroes. Unlike the cohesiveness seen in teams like the Midnight Sons, the Samurai Outriders start off as anything but united. This dynamic is rich with narrative possibilities as each member, and the team overall, evolves in Episode Mode. Don’t miss experiencing their remarkable journey.

We are also excited to announce a new stage: Asgard. Known as the “Realm of the Gods” in the Marvel Universe, Asgard merges advanced magic with cutting-edge technology. Ruled by King Odin and home to Thor Odinson and Loki, it comprises five battle areas: the Observatory, Bifrost Bridge, Throne Room, Treasure Vault, and Yggdrasil, the World Tree. This addition promises an immersive backdrop for epic battles.

Among the Samurai Outriders, Blade stands out. Born as Eric Brooks, he’s a vampire-hybrid with unmatched skills in hunting monsters. Fresh from training in Japan, Blade wields the legendary demon-slaying sword Muramasa. When unleashed, its red glow signals the true potential of the weapon. Known for his aggressive style, Blade utilizes Muramasa alongside machine guns and glaives. His Heartstopper ability is a game-changer, pinning opponents and enhancing Muramasa’s prowess.

Joining Blade is Loki Laufeyson, the “God of Mischief.” Once a villain, he’s attempting redemption within the Samurai Outriders. Known for deception, his combat exploits ice and magic with skillful feints and counters. Loki’s attacks are as unpredictable as they are frustrating, making him a formidable opponent if he catches you off guard.

Then there’s Deadpool, also known as Wade Wilson, a mercenary whose chaotic nature is matched only by his extraordinary healing factor. Initiated into the Weapon X Program, Deadpool’s abilities encompass guns, grenades, and swords along with risky maneuvers. Armed with a strategy guide from beyond the fourth wall, he wields iconic attacks from legendary fighting games, delighting fans with his extravagant style.

Leading to the launch, we’ll be unveiling deep dive trailers for all characters, exploring their mechanics, colors, moves, super abilities, and assist types. These are perfect for those eager to master a character or simply enjoy their moves in action.

We’re thrilled to announce a global Open Beta on PS5 and PC from July 24-26 (PT). Blade will be a playable character, allowing you to experience his combat style firsthand. Stay tuned for more updates as the development team enters the final launch stretch.
