Dubbed “RuneScape 4” for the time being, this new entry will exist alongside its predecessors: RuneScape, Old School RuneScape, and Dragonwilds.
The teaser trailer shared at RuneFest offered a glimpse into what’s coming next for the world of Gielinor. RuneScape 4 is set during the Sixth Age, beginning its epic journey in the region of Ashenfal, previously introduced in Dragonwilds. The story will unfold years after the cataclysmic events of Dragonwilds and the fall of the Dragon Queen Kuldra. Jagex has expressed intentions to expand far beyond Ashenfall, weaving in new realms as well as revisiting familiar places rich with history.

The company revealed that while the game is still several years from release, they decided to unveil the project early to foster collaboration with the player community.
