Rockstar Games is ramping up the excitement for Grand Theft Auto 6, and it seems music lovers have plenty to look forward to. The game developer has started teasing the highly anticipated soundtrack with new artwork from an ensemble of popular artists, including Future, Travis Scott, and Morgan Wallen.
Recently, Travis Scott, Future, and Morgan Wallen have taken to platforms like Instagram to share zoomed-in snapshots of what appear to be segments of larger artwork from GTA 6. Scott’s image showcasing a woman’s heeled feet was intriguingly captioned, nodding at Rockstar’s involvement. Meanwhile, Wallen shared a Rockstar-styled pool ladder image without a caption, adding to the mystery. The speculation that these posts are hinting at GTA 6 were confirmed when Future uploaded an image of a sports car bearing a Leonida license plate. Following suit, Metro Boomin and Yung Lean shared the same car image on their social media profiles.
Adding more flavor to this melodic anticipation, Argentine hip hop duo CA7RIEL & Paco Amoroso posted an image featuring a yacht. The same image was later shared by Fred Again and an account reportedly tied to PinkPantheress. This sparked speculation that the artists sharing the same imagery might be collaborating on tracks for the game.
With the clock ticking down to GTA 6’s release, we expect more artists to drop hints and images throughout the day. We’ve seen a history of musicians and celebrities making memorable appearances. Dr. Dre had a notable role in GTA Online, while Phil Collins appeared in Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories. Could we see these current music influencers as characters or radio hosts in GTA 6? Only time will tell.
Actor Stephen Root has inadvertently confirmed his role as Brian Heder in GTA 6, adding to the lineup of stars joining the virtual universe.
This immersive marketing wave for GTA 6 goes hand in hand with the excitement that kicked off this summer. Following a gameplay reveal on Netflix and the opening of pre-orders, Rockstar Games is keeping momentum high as the release date looms just two months away.
