Two years after its initial Early Access launch on August 5, 2024, Fields of Mistria has achieved its version 1.0 milestone. NPC Studio’s delightful farming sim has captivated players with its charming world, and now, with the complete release, even more awaits those who choose to explore Mistria.
The journey has been rich and nuanced, as Mistria welcomed players to repair and transform their town through its engaging questline. Now, with the Town Repair Questline fully completable and the Town Renown Cap increased to 100, completionists have their work cut out for them. Additionally, the addition of the Mistril Town Rank Event significantly enriches town interactions.
Fans of character development are in for a treat with the NPC Heart Level Cap expanded to 10. This increase comes with 10 Heart (Proposal) Events, unlockable weddings, marriage events, and even children, offering a deeply personal gaming experience. Coupled with new quests like “Saturday Market Plaza” and “Repair the Bell Tower,” as well as two fresh museum sets, the game balances both ambition and intimacy.
The introduction of Stillwell and Zorel to the Saturday Market, accompanied by the addition of Crystal Resonators and Song Crystals, adds new dimensions to gameplay. From customizing the music on your farm to the appearance of the town, Mistria now offers an enriched and personalized experience.
Version 1.0 brings an array of new gameplay features, such as new perks across various professions, an Engagement Ring crafting option, NPC Special Items, and family planning options via the Mystical Feather. Ever wanted to own a Big Chicken mount? Now, you can. Similarly, gameplay additions such as enhanced Ritual Chamber and Treasure room spawn rates and the automatic care of animals and crops unveil a more seamless gaming experience.
Quality of life improvements like enhanced graphics settings, easier museum navigation, improved drop rates, and the newly animated Bathhouse water wheel make Mistria not just a game, but a living world.
Bug fixes are abundant, tackling everything from startup issues on older PCs to minor gameplay annoyances like ringless bells. Substantial performance improvements ensure a smoother experience irrespective of your hardware setup.
If you love expansive, personal farm simulation games wrapped in lovingly crafted art and sound, Mistria is worth revisiting or exploring afresh. NPC Studio might be contemplating console ports after 1.0, but until then, Steam players have a rich world ready for them to dive into.
