Timed perfectly for Batman Day, Warner Bros. Pictures Animation and DC Studios have unveiled the highly-anticipated trailer for the second part of their animated adaptation of the “Batman: Knightfall” saga. Titled “Knightquest,” this film adapts the middle segment of the iconic three-part comic storyline from 1993-1994. This release follows closely on the heels of “Knightfall,” which hit digital platforms on August 25th, earning rave reviews and securing a stellar 92% (8.1/10) on Rotten Tomatoes.

In the gripping new film, Gotham City faces a dire crisis as Batman is left broken at the hands of the evil genius Bane. With Bruce Wayne now paralyzed from the waist down, the mantle of Batman must be passed to a worthy successor to defend the city. Enter Jean-Paul Valley, also known as Azrael. As he takes on the role of the Dark Knight, questions arise about whether his more ruthless methods will be enough to defeat Bane and restore peace.

The film boasts a star-studded voice cast, featuring Anson Mount as Batman/Bruce Wayne, Michael Mando as the formidable Bane, and Pablo Schreiber as the conflicted Jean-Paul Valley/Azrael. The talent pool is rounded out with Jack Griffo as Tim Drake/Robin, Bruce Boxleitner as Commissioner Gordon, Simon Templeman as the loyal Alfred Pennyworth, and Toks Olagundoye as Shondra Kinsolving.

Though the specific release date for the second film remains a mystery with the promise of a “Coming Soon,” it is anticipated to grace our screens before the year’s end. Fans can also look forward to the thrilling conclusion, “KnightsEnd,” which is set to be released in early 2027.
