Attack on Titan 3: New Gameplay Features Unveiled for Winter Release

In an exciting announcement from publisher Koei Tecmo and developer Omega Force, Attack on Titan 3 is set to launch this winter for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Switch 2, and PC via Steam. The game promises to bring the epic story of Attack on Titan to life in a thrilling action-packed adventure that spans from the beginning of the series to its epic conclusion.

One of the main highlights of Attack on Titan 3 is the evolved ODM-Gear action. This enhanced system is designed to bring back the adrenaline-pumping omni-directional battles against the Titans. Players will face Titans equipped with an array of new and terrifying attacks, ensuring that they’ll have to remain vigilant and quick in battle. The introduction of a New Casual Mode allows both seasoned players and newcomers alike to enjoy the heart-pounding experience of the Scout Regiment.

Players will have the opportunity to create and lead their own Survey Squad. With a wide selection of characters each boasting unique skills and abilities, you’ll be able to tailor your team for challenging missions beyond the Walls. Constructing strategic supply bases and using the environment to your advantage will be key to surviving and expanding humanity’s realm as you face the man-eating Titans.

The immersive experience of Attack on Titan 3 means that players won’t just be battling Titans; they’ll also have the chance to dive deep into the series’ beloved narrative. As a unique Scout character, you’ll engage with popular characters like Eren, Mikasa, and Armin. Building relationships allows players to unlock new battle abilities and view special cutscenes. Customizing your character’s appearance adds another layer of personalization.

In a special collaboration, MAPPA is working on a new opening animation for Attack on Titan 3. With direction by Arifumi Imai, one of the key figures behind the anime’s stunning action scenes, this addition promises to be an exciting visual treat that will debut in a future update. The MAPPA team is enthusiastic about bringing this powerful intro to life and awaits fans’ reactions eagerly.

For those heading to Anime Expo 2026 in Los Angeles, the game will be making a special appearance at the amiami booth from July 2 to 5. Fans can look forward to getting a sneak peek of the game through a new gameplay trailer and a “Features and Gameplay Presentation” that highlights what makes this installment of Attack on Titan stand out.
